Charismathics announces partnership with Raak Technologies

Partnership to expand distribution of the Charismathics CSSI Smart Card and TPM products in North America.

Charismathics of Munich, Germany, the worldwide leader in platform independent Smart Card and TPM Middleware, today announced a partnership with Raak Technologies of Austin, Texas that will introduce the Charismathics strong authentication product line to Raak’s customers in the North American market.

CSSI now available for the North American market

Through the partnership, Raak Technologies will market and sell the Charismathics product range to integrators, security software developers and hardware vendors throughout North America, and will provide technical support for the North American market from its headquarters in Austin, Texas. As part of the agreement, Raak Technologies will from now on provide the CSSI product line to its OEM customers.

Charismathics’ flagship product, the Charismathics Smart Security Interface (CSSI) is the leading integrated, platform independent security middleware in the world. CSSI enables the use of Smart Cards, USB Tokens and TPM chips with all major standards compliant security applications. As such, CSSI is an ideal solution for systems integrators that want to provide PKI and strong authentication security to their IT projects. CSSI enables support for all major security applications, including Logon, VPN, and Remote Desktop, as well as pre boot authentication for enterprise applications from McAfee/Safeboot, Utimaco, PGP, Checkpoint/Pointsec, and Secude.

CSSI also provides one-stop-shop support for a wide variety of smart cards and tokens already in use today, including smart cards from all the major manufacturers such as Gemalto, NXP, Giesecke & Devrient, Siemens, Oberthur and Sagem. Softex Inc. opts for CSSI

One satisfied CSSI customer is Softex, Inc, the developer of Omnipass Security Client. Omnipass is a Single Sign On application that is bundled with computers from such vendors as Lenovo, Fujitsu and Gateway and provides users with the ability to securely log on to the PC as well as applications and web sites. With CSSI users can now use a smart card to authenticate and secure access to Omnipass.
