Today charismathics GmbH, a leading developer of smart card security solutions, announced that the charismathics smart security interface™ has been validated through the Ready for IBM Tivoli Software  program for integration with the IBM Tivoli® Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On.

The charismathics smart security interface (CSSI) is a powerful cryptographic middleware client that enables the use of USB smart tokens and smart cards from a large variety of vendors with a range of PKI enabled applications. With CSSI, users can now use their US Federal PIV Card to enable strong, two-factor authenticated access to IBM Tivoli Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On, enhancing security, and increasing user productivity at the same time.

“The Ready for IBM Tivoli software validation signifies that the CSSI solution has been fully integrated with the IBM Tivoli Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On open authentication device interface”, said Sven Gossel, CEO of charismathics. “This means that any USB token or smart card supported by CSSI can now be used to authenticate to the IBM Single Sign-On solution as well as a large variety of other PKI enabled applications such as computer logon, VPN, disk encryption and digital signature applications.”

CSSI has been validated FIPS 201 Compliant by the National Institute of Standards and Technology with NIST SP 800-85A / SP 800-73-2, and is listed on the GSA Approved Products List (APL).
