charismathics and ULTRA to cooperate in Azerbaijan as the country widely implements e-signature

ULTRA, one of the leading IT companies implementing information systems in Azerbaijan and other CIS countries, announced today that they have chosen charismathics, the independent identity management player, to supply their products and technology for the national digital signature project in the Caucasus region. The companies signed off an according agreement for the project recently introduced by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies. It is meant to offer e-government services to citizens as well as spread the use of e-signature as a validly effective legal tool for corporate, governmental entities and individuals. ULTRA is part of a consortium, along with Microsoft and Azerin Companies, that won the tender for developing and implementing the necessary national PKI infrastructure. Within this contract charismathics is meant to supply its PKI middleware along with the required smart card hardware.

Along with this project, the unique approach of charismathics to the PKI scene has been awarded great attention again; since it was founded the company’s main goal has been to bring PKI to consumers and making it available to the largest possible scale, this being the safest strong authentication technology up to this very day. charismathics has innovated the industry by integrating smart cards from major vendors into all mainstream computer platforms and third party applications, making a product mainly used by large organizations also ready for the end user.
