As a service for our customers, we take can take over the job of initializing, personalizing and pre-loading certificates onto smart cards for you. This allows you to rapidly deploy smart cards without the initial administrative tasks associated with every new card roll-out, saving you time and money.

Card initialization is required for each card prior to its first use. During the process of initialization, the microprocessor operation is established and the main use is defined. The policy and profile settings which result from the initialization are a pre-requisite e.g. to the initial key pair generation, certificate creation and the following steps of managing the card.

charismathics optinally provides the cards pre-initialized in order to simplify the card roll-out process. This service is strongly recommended for those customers who have little or no previous experience working with smart cards.
