How do my Mac OS applications use certificates from smart cards?
Using charismathics tokenD, certificates on smart cards are propagated to the Mac OS key chain. All Mac native applications make use of the certificates from the key chain.
Applications like Firefox and Thunderbird use the PKCS11 library.
